From there, he traversed the singletrack trails to the [Maple Hollow South](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/maplehollowS/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) downhill park on the American Fork side of the mountain. Keith then descended the [Vertigo](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/vertigo/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) downhill trail before heading back home. All in all, Keith rode 65.49 miles (105.40 kilometers), not 65.5 miles as Lindsey likes to remind Keith ๐Ÿคฃ, with 2,641 feet (805 meters) or climbing. Ad by Google AdSense ## Keith's next bike race? ๐ŸŒญ ๐Ÿ• Keith thinks he has found his next bike race! This May, Keith plans to take on the [Great Glizzy Gauntlet](https://ggg.lmarx.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com), a 100 mile, 10 [Costco](https://www.costco.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) legendary ride! ๐Ÿคฃ ๐ŸŒญ ****What's a "Glizzy"?** Slang for hot dog, popularized in DC and spreading nationally via social media. Now you know! ![The "Great Glizzy Gauntlet" flyer](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2026/03/IMG_7197.webp) The "[Great Glizzy Gauntlet](https://ggg.lmarx.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com)" flyer This ride will be very different from any other "race" that Keith has participated in. During this race, each participant must navigate to each of the 10 Costcos, and eat one of the available menu items. This means that Keith will need to eat some combination of 10 hotdogs ๐ŸŒญ, 10 pizza slices ๐Ÿ•, etc. It will be very interesting to see who else shows up for this race. ## Randy visited us from Montana ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿฆฐ Our friend Randy visited us this week! ๐Ÿ˜„ We last saw Randy when we visited him for a few hours as we traveled to Banff, AB for the start of the [2025 Tour Divide](https://keithandlindsey.com/keiths-midlife-crisis-racing-the-2024-tour-divide-announcement-part-1-of-2/) race. ### Welcome dinner at Little India in American Fork, UT ๐Ÿ› ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ After catching up for a bit at our home, we all headed to [Little India Fine Dining](https://littleindiaut.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) in American Fork, UT to have dinner together. ![](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2026/03/IMG_7198.webp) ![](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2026/03/IMG_7199.webp) ![](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2026/03/IMG_7201.webp) ![](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2026/03/IMG_7202.webp) Gallery of our welcome dinner with Randy at [Little India Fine Dining](https://littleindiaut.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) in American Fork, UT This restaurant serves a huge selection of traditional Indian dishes that are perfect for sharing. Randy introduced us to [Saag Paneer](https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/aarti-sequeira/saag-paneer1-1927603?ref=keithandlindsey.com), a dish made of house-made cheese, spinach, cream & ground spices. It was quite delicious! We also shared the "Assorted Snacks" appetizer along with several orders of Naan bread, and other scrumptious main dishes. Ad by Google AdSense ### Hiking the "G" trail ๐Ÿฅพ โ›ฐ๏ธ We haven't hiked the ["G" trail](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/the-g-hike?ref=keithandlindsey.com) in Pleasant Grove, UT in several years... really, since we first moved to Utah. Since then, the "G" on the side of the mountain has been replaced with a much larger, concrete version of the "G". We were excited to hike this trail with Randy so that we could finally see the new and improved "G" up close. This trail is quite steep though and none of us have really hiked in quite a while, so we knew this would be a tough one. The trail has been rerouted since we first hiked it but it is still incredibly steep! The trail ascends 836 feet (255 meters) in only 1 mile (1.6 kilometers). They both said it was quite an "adventure" as the trail above the letter was very narrow and loose. We each ended up getting a little sunburnt too. We all should have put on more sunscreen before hiking. ๐Ÿงด Ad by Google AdSense ### Hiking the Battle Creek Falls trail ๐Ÿฅพ โ›ฐ๏ธ After finishing our hike up to the "G", Keith and Randy decided to hike up to see [Battle Creek Falls](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/battle-creek-falls?ref=keithandlindsey.com). The waterfall was flowing but it was much smaller than it typically is for this time of the year. That's do to the record heat and drought conditions that have been plaguing Utah all winter long. ### Mountain biking in Corner Canyon ๐Ÿšต ๐Ÿ˜Ž Randy had brought his mountain bike so Keith was excited to get out and ride with him. The two started with a warmup ride down [Vertigo](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/vertigo/?ref=keithandlindsey.com), an intermediate flow/jump trail. After the warmup, they climbed up to the top of [Jacob's Ladder](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/jacobsladder/?ref=keithandlindsey.com), one of the more technical descents in the area. To wrap up the day, they made one last lap on [Zooropa](https://utahmountainbiking.com/posts/zooropa-mtb-trail-updates/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) before heading back home to meet up with Lindsey for dinner. ## Farewell to Randy! ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Eventually, all good things have to come to an end. Randy stayed with us until Monday morning. He then packed up his bags and bike before heading back home to Montana. We are both so happy that Randy came down to visit us. We will have to plan some time to head north and meet up with him again.
