## Getting over a stomach bug 😷 🌡️

We weren't able to do much this week due to not feeling well. Lindsey has been sick for a little over a week now. She is finally starting to feel better but she had to cancel plans with her friends this weekend. Keith also started feeling rough this week but he didn't get as sick as Lindsey. He is nearly fully recovered and was even able to go on an all-day mountain bike ride with his friends this weekend.

## Mountain Bike Tour of Corner Canyon 🚵 😅

Keith is still getting over the stomach bug that he has had for several days now. However, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to mountain bike with his friends. He knew there was a chance that he would have to cut the ride short but he wanted to see how his body would handle the ride. Fortunately, he felt fine all day and didn't seem to have any lingering effects from being sick. 😄

Keith met up with Brandon and Anna at the [Draper Bike Park](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/draperbikepark/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) to start their ride. It was surprisingly hot for 9:00 AM in the middle of November! 🥵 The route started with a 2,000 foot (610 meter) climb to the top of [Jacob's Ladder](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/jacobsladder/?ref=keithandlindsey.com). This is a chunky, sandy, steep, loose, expert-only downhill trail. You know, the perfect way to ease into a long day of riding. 🤣

After completing the lap of Jacob's Ladder, we regrouped and traversed over to the summit of the [Maple Hollow South](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/vertigo/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) bike park. Keith and Brandon decided to ride Zooropa while Anna went for the expert-only jump line on Levitate. These trails are so much fun and in such great shape this year. They are excellent trails for progressing your bike handling skills.

On the way down Zooropa, Brandon had a minor crash which eventually resulted in a flat tire. Thankfully, he was able to plug the tire and use the tire sealant to seal around the plug. 👨‍🔧 Once we had Brandon's bike back in order, we started the climb up the [South Maple Hollow](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/maplehollowS/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) trail towards the top of the infamous [Maple Hollow Downhill](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/DraperDH/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) trail.

The Maple Hollow Downhill trail has had a lot of work done to it over the past few years. The upper section used to be a gnarly combination of techy flow mixed with steep and loose chutes. Now, it has been re-routed into a much more manageable route that eventually leads you to the infamous wall ride and rock drop features towards the lower part of the trail. To say these features are big is an understatement!

After admiring these features and playing around on some of the smaller jumps, we eventually wrapped up the Maple Hollow Downhill trail and began the final traverse/climb back to the Limelight trail, the lower section of the [Rush](https://utahmountainbiking.com/trails/rush/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) trail. This was a big day on the bike for all of us! We climbed 3,360 feet (1,024 meters) over a short 20-mile (32-kilometer) distance. This means we spent a lot of time climbing steep, technical trails! 😅
