The boots were properly sized for her feet, but she did not have a formal boot fitting at the time of purchase. She attempted to "break in" the boots by just skiing in them. The boot fitter was fantastic! He was able to quickly diagnose the pressure points on Lindsey's feet. He then heat-molded the boot liners so that they were properly shaped to her foot structure. Almost immediately, Lindsey began to feel how much better her boots fit. Hopefully, this will allow her to ski pain-free this season. 🤞 ![Keith is excited to finally have his new Moment Deathwish 112 skis ready for the season](https://keithandlindsey.com/content/images/2025/11/IMG_6111.webp) Keith is excited to finally have his new [Moment Deathwish 112](https://www.momentskis.com/products/deathwish-112?srsltid=AfmBOorpy3ZQpr5chc9KvFlb0CZCN3R5sW%5FaMXldnp61WBL2DvkjqtQQ&variant=770995567&ref=keithandlindsey.com) skis ready for the season While we were there, Keith also picked up his new [Moment Deathwish 112](https://www.momentskis.com/products/deathwish-112?srsltid=AfmBOorpy3ZQpr5chc9KvFlb0CZCN3R5sW%5FaMXldnp61WBL2DvkjqtQQ&variant=770995567&ref=keithandlindsey.com) skis. The ski shop mounted his [Salomon Shift v2](https://www.momentskis.com/collections/bindings/products/salomon-shift2-13-mn?variant=45579468603649&ref=keithandlindsey.com) bindings and also applied the [DPS Phantom Glide](https://www.dpsskis.com/products/phantomglide?srsltid=AfmBOopIIK4UVLWdSR92VcAbMlyqJfTCjUQRl%5FIp8VSFR78zy9KvICAi&ref=keithandlindsey.com) permanent wax system. Keith's skis are ready to go... as soon as we get some snow! ❄️ 🙏 Ad by Google AdSense ### Dinner at Maize Tacos 🌮 🇲🇽 On the way home from Level Nine Sports, we decided to grab dinner at one of our favorite fast-casual Mexican restaurants, [Maize Tacos](https://maizetacos.com/?ref=keithandlindsey.com) in Draper, UT. She had asked for only one thing from Keith: [a beautiful ski coffee mug from Etsy](https://www.westelm.com/products/holiday-skiers-figural-mug-d17013/?catalogId=71&sku=4822642&cm%5Fven=PLA&cm%5Fcat=Google&cm%5Fpla=Holidays%20%3E%20Holiday%20Dinnerware&cm%5Fite=4822642%5F14465514686%5Faud-869309482559:pla-368429258807&gad%5Fsource=1&gad%5Fcampaignid=14465514686&gbraid=0AAAAABjYLmncMXq05N-QCp052UD51yOxq&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoZDJBhC0ARIsAERP-F%5F2J3lskJouhNSi5GDOCOEaL1g-jJJ5beaDIIhduZ4bnH6SZHueSHIaAkHkEALw%5FwcB&ref=keithandlindsey.com). She was excited to get free snacks and drinks at some of her favorite local restaurants. Lindsey also received gifts from her niece and nephew. ### Birthday dinner at Mar | Muntanya in Salt Lake City, UT 🥘 🇪🇸 For Lindsey's birthday dinner, Keith wanted to recreate one of her favorite dining experiences while hiking the [Camino de Santiago](https://keithandlindsey.com/camino-de-santiago-our-journeys-inspiration/) in Portugal and Spain. This was the perfect place to celebrate Lindsey's birthday. Before arrival, we placed an order for their paella special. This was followed by an assortment of tapas plates which included artisanal sourdough bread, Spanish chorizo, a tomato and fruit salad, and an Octopus tentacle. These churros were incredible! This was such a fun restaurant and a great place to celebrate Lindsey's birthday! 🥳 Ad by Google AdSense ## Day out in Salt Lake City with Stephanie and Anna ☕ 📚 On Sunday, we met up with our friends Stephanie and Anna to spend the day checking out various stores in the Salt Lake City area. ### Coffee stop at Tres Gatos Coffee in Midvale, UT ☕ 🐱 To kick things off, we headed to [Tres Gatos Coffee](https://www.instagram.com/tresgatoscoffee/?hl=en&ref=keithandlindsey.com) in Midvale, UT. This locally owned coffee shop serves delicious coffee and is known for its house-made matcha. We each ordered a coffee drink to go after checking out the shop. This local establishment is known for the "pasties" (pronounced "pass-tees"), which are a type of savory hand pie. All four of us also shared our doughnuts since they were big enough to cut into fourths! Both the pasties and the doughnuts were outstanding. This is definitely a don't-miss spot if you are visiting the Salt Lake City area. ### Romance Novels at Lovebound Library in Salt Lake City, UT ❤️ 📚 After having our fill of breakfast, we headed to [Lovebound Library](https://www.instagram.com/loveboundlibrary/?hl=en&ref=keithandlindsey.com) in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a romance-novel-focused, locally-owned bookstore. This was closer to Keith's type of place than Lindsey's. The store had a vast selection of classic and modern science fiction novels to choose from.
