Riding in Provo Canyon 🚵♂️ 🔥
Keith has been trying to maintain his cycling fitness by getting out on at least one long ride a week. This week, he rode from our home in Orem to the Bridal Veil Falls overlook in Provo Canyon.

Keith has ridden this route numerous times during his 2025 Tour Divide training efforts, yet he still enjoys it every time he gets to ride it. The route has a great mix of paved cycling trails, steep hill climbs, fast gravel roads, and steep & chunky descents. It's the perfect route to help Keith maintain his fitness and mountain biking skills.
During this ride, Keith was able to see the Buckley Draw Fire firsthand. This fire was off in the distance, but Keith could see the air support crews actively working to stop the blaze from spreading. It's sad to see our beautiful mountains being burnt like this. 😔
Dinner at Thai House Cuisine 🍜 🇹🇭
For date night this week, we went to an old favorite Thai restaurant that we first visited shortly after moving to Utah: Thai House Cuisine. This amazing Thai restaurant is located in a converted home in the heart of Pleasant Grove, UT.

The food was amazing and perfectly portioned. Lindsey ordered the Pad Thai, and Keith ordered the Pad Kee-Mao (Drunken Noodles). We also shared an appetizer of the Steam Buns, which were delicious! 😋 We will definitely need to make it a point to visit this restaurant more often.
Chalk the Block 🎨 🅿️
Lindsey and her friend Stephanie headed to Provo, UT, this weekend to check out the Chalk the Block art installation. This event allows local artists to demonstrate their chalk art skills by filling in a parking space with their best work. Some of the artwork is absolutely incredible, and it's hard to believe that someone was able to create these works on a parking space canvas.

While they were in Provo, they decided to also check out Moons Rare Books. This is one of the most unique bookstores around. It is one part bookstore and one part museum. The collection features various assortments of incredibly rare books, including hundreds of year-old versions of the bible as well as first editions of many other famous books. This is a must-see shop if you are ever in the Provo, UT area.
Group ride in Park City 🚴♂️ 🚴♀️
Keith was finally able to catch up with some of our skiing and mountain biking friends this week! He was super excited to ride with them since he didn't get to see them much last year due to all of his solo, long-distance training rides. Most of Keith's mountain biking friends don't like to ride long distances on gravel roads. They prefer to focus on shorter and more intense singletrack mountain biking. Recently, though, more and more of his friends have been getting into a little bit of endurance riding.
Keith met up with Kelly, Brandon, and Anna to ride the Park City Rail Trail. This is a part of one of Keith's favorite training routes in the Park City area. The group left from downtown Park City and headed out onto the gravel portions of the rail trail. The end goal was to reach the historic Union Pacific bridge at the north end of Echo Reservoir. This would require a total out-and-back distance of nearly 60 miles (96.6 kilometers), which would be the longest gravel ride that any of his friends had ever been on.

Everyone did really well, even though it got pretty hot on the ride back. We all made it out to see the historic bridge and the surrounding red rocks. This was the first time that any of them had been out to this area of Utah, so it was exciting to show them something new. Keith is hoping that next time, they can ride his entire training loop. 🤞
