Preparing for a road trip through Oregon 🛫 🚙

On August 27th, Lindsey and I are heading to Oregon for a two-week road trip! Neither of us has ever visited Oregon so we are so excited to get to visit a new state. We will be traveling with our friends Jason & Kristen from Indiana. We will be spending the first week traveling along the Oregon coast. The second week will be spent exploring Oregon's interior.

The Provo River Trail is reopened (somewhat) 🚴‍♂️ 🏔️

The Provo River Trail is a staple of Keith's weeknight cycling paths. Unfortunately, this paved trail has been closed since last winter when a massive avalanche came down over Bridal Veil Falls and covered the area with tens of feet of snow and debris. Nearly all of the snow has melted and most of the avalanche debris has been removed. Unfortunately, the bridge along the path was wiped out by the avalanche and is under major reconstruction.

Mountain biking Snowbird's Big Mountain Trail 🌸 🚵‍♂️

Keith has been itching to get out on a solid mountain bike ride prior to our road trip through Oregon. He met up with our friend Kelly to ride Snowbird's famous Big Mountain Trail. This is one of Keith's favorite trails since it has a bit of everything he looks for in a ride; a long grinding ascent, beautiful mountain views, and a fast and fun descent. The wildflowers along the Alta side of the route were stunning!
