Happy Independence Day!!! 🇺🇸 🎆 This week, we finally replaced Lindsey's skis 🎿, Keith went on some epic mountain bike rides 🚵, and we tested out our new paddleboards at a local reservoir 🛶.

2025 Tour Divide: Racing (Day 6) - Seeley Lake, Montana 🇺🇸 to the Llama Ranch, Montana 🇺🇸
Day 6 was the day I finally felt like I was racing. After a rough, sleepless start, I climbed strong over Huckleberry Pass, got humbled by the brutal Stemple Pass, and capped it all off with one of the most magical evenings of the entire route at The Llama Ranch. 🦙

Picking up Lindsey's new skis 🎿 🆕

We are finally done* with the warranty process for Lindsey's skis. 🥳 Lindsey now has a brand-new set of Dynastar M-Pro 98 Skis - Women's 2026 edition paired with a new set of Marker Squire 10 Ski Bindings.

The only thing left to do is find a place to have DPS Phantom Glide permanent wax reapplied. Backcountry would not include that in the warranty process, which is frustrating because it is not cheap. Hopefully, we never have to go through this awful warranty process again!

Dinner at Brabo Pizza 🍕 🍝

We decided to grab dinner while we were out picking up Lindsey's new skis. So, we headed to Brabo Pizza in Millcreek, UT, for an amazing dining experience. Brabo Pizza is by far the classiest pizza joint we have ever visited. The dining room feels more like a high-end steakhouse than a casual pizza place.

We started our meal by sharing the beet salad, which was quite delicious. We then decided to sample both an Italian entree and a wood-fired pizza. For our entree, we shared the PASTA CARBO"NORA", and for our pizza, we shared the Havaiana (i.e., Hawaiian). Everything was so flavorful! We couldn't decide if we liked the pizza or the entree better. If you are ever in the Millcreek, UT area, this is definitely a place to check out.

Downhill MTB practice at Park City, UT 🚵 🚀

On Friday, Keith drove to Park City, UT, to meet up with Brandon and Anna. Anna wanted to pre-ride the course that she would be racing for the mid-week enduro circuit. Keith was excited since this was his first time riding in this area of Park City. Unfortunately, the ride started and ended a bit rough...

First, Brandon forgot to grab his SRAM AXS battery before he left his house. 🤦‍♂️ This meant that he was unable to shift his bike. Thankfully, one of the local bike shops had AXS batteries for sale, so he was able to purchase a new one.

Towards the end of the ride, both Brandon and Anna had bad punctures in their tires near the tire bead. Thankfully, Brandon was able to quickly plug all of the punctures. He was even able to reseat Anna's tire by using a CO2 canister. Talk about saving the day! Otherwise, it would have been a long walk down the mountain for Anna.

Even with all of these issues, the day was still a success. Nobody crashed, Anna was able to pre-ride the enduro course, and we all got to enjoy a fun day out on our bikes. We were even fortunate enough to get off the mountain before a heavy rainstorm rolled through. Talk about perfect timing!

Paddleboarding at Tibble Fork Reservoir 🛶 😎

Last week, we shared that we had purchased a set of paddleboards. This week, we finally got to use them! 😀 On Friday, Lindsey met her friend Stephanie, and Stephanie's dog Miles, at Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. This was Lindsey's first time trying out the new paddleboard.

Then, on Sunday, Keith, Lindsey, Stephanie, and Anna all went to Tibble Fork Reservoir to enjoy a day of relaxing on the water. Paddleboarding was a nice, relaxing change of pace from Keith's typical high-intensity weekend rides. ☺️

The weather was perfect for paddleboarding! It wasn't too hot or too cold. The cool water provided the perfect relief from the warm sun. The winds were calm, and for being a busy holiday weekend, the reservoir wasn't too overly crowded. Lindsey is really looking forward to getting a lot of use out of her paddleboard this summer.

Keith's first Snowbird Big Mountain Trail ride of the season 🚵 💦

Keith was really looking forward to riding Snowbird's Big Mountain Trail with Brandon last weekend. Unfortunately, they had to cancel due to too much snow! ❄️ 🤯

This weekend, the weather was perfect, so Keith jumped at the chance to ride the trail. Unfortunately, neither Brandon nor Anna was available to ride, so Keith took this one on solo. This meant that Keith had a little more flexibility around his ride time, though. So, Keith was able to start his ride a little later, which meant that Lindsey could come along... not to ride bikes, but to ride the tram to the top and enjoy the incredible mountain views! 🤩

While Lindsey was enjoying a delicious breakfast burrito at The Atrium at The Cliff Lodge, Keith was beginning the roughly 3,000-foot (914-meter) climb to the top of Hidden Peak. About 30 minutes into the climb, Keith realized that he had left both of his water bottles, which were full of electrolyte drink, in the Jeep! 🤦 It was too late to turn around, and he had a 1.5-liter water bladder in his backpack, so Keith pushed on.

Keith rode so fast up to the summit that he almost beat Lindsey to the top! 🚀 After a brief stop at the top, Keith began the incredible 8-mile (12.9-kilometer) singletrack descent to the bottom. The Snowbird Big Mountain Trail is such an epic loop! It really doesn't get much better than this.

Post-ride lunch at The Gulch Pub at Alta 🌮 ⛰️

After Keith's big ride at Snowbird, he was definitely ready for a good meal. Keith picked up Lindsey at the Snowbird Center, then they drove back up to Alta to have lunch at The Gulch Pub at Snowpine Lodge.

We were fortunate to be seated on the outdoor patio with amazing mountain views! 🤩 Keith ordered the Dynasty Ribeye Tacos, and Lindsey ordered the Wasatch Nachos with bison chili. Both of our meals really hit the spot. After eating, we chatted and enjoyed the views for a while. Sometimes, we forget just how lucky we are to be able to experience days such as this.
