Happy birthday, Keith! πŸŽ‚ πŸŽ‰

This week was Keith's birthday! πŸ₯³ We have decided to postpone going out to a birthday dinner until Lindsey is more recovered from her prior PRP procedure. That doesn't mean we didn't celebrate at all, though...

On Keith's birthday, Lindsey surprised him with an assortment of donuts from Spudly Donuts. πŸ˜‹ 🍩 This was our first time ordering from Spudly, and we were both thoroughly impressed!

Keith also went out on a long bike ride to celebrate his birthday. He rode one of his favorite loops from our home in Orem, UT, to the Corner Canyon trails in Draper, UT. He extended his normal route by descending a section of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail rather than taking the typical road descent back to the Murdock Canal Trail. This extended his "trail time" by about 10 miles (16 kilometers).

Most people wouldn't necessarily consider a 68-mile (109-kilometer) ride with nearly 3,000 feet (914 meters) of elevation gain a "fun" way to celebrate their birthday. However, Keith truly enjoyed his time out on the bike, including seeing the amazing sunset on his way back home. 🀩

Lindsey is recovering well 😌 πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

Lindsey is finally walking without crutches!!! πŸ™Œ She is on the path to full recovery after her second PRP procedure.

Lindsey has made it through the worst part of the recovery. She now needs to focus on rebuilding her strength and balance. So far, Lindsey has been working on basic muscle control to get her quads and hamstrings firing correctly again. Soon, she will begin working on single-leg balance exercises.

Relaxing recovery weekend πŸ₯± πŸ›‹οΈ

Unfortunately, neither of us really got to take advantage of the long weekend. As previously mentioned, Lindsey is still recovering from the PRP procedure. Keith was also sort of down this weekend due to a stomach issue. 🀒

Keith had planned to do a couple of long rides this weekend, but he just wasn't feeling good enough to push his body with an active stomach issue. So, he took the time to rest and recover. Keith also knocked out the next three Tour Divide blog posts. Those have been scheduled over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

Upcoming posts and videos πŸ‘·β€ πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈοΈ

Keith is continuing to work on posts and videos covering his 2025 Tour Divide experience. Lindsey has finished writing the post series covering her "Epic Summer Road Trip from Canada through the American West" with her mom. Subscribe to our blog so that you don't miss out.
