Lindsey got her new skis! πΏ π
Last week, we shared that Lindsey was able to find a nice set of K2 Mindbender 106 skis and a sweet deal on a set of Salomon S-Pro Supra ski boots. However, we weren't able to take them home that day because we still needed to have the bindings mounted and the DPS Phantom Glide permanent ski wax applied. Thankfully, we only had to wait a few days until Lindsey's skis were ready. Check them out. Lindsey is so excited!!! π
Snowbird Passholder Event βοΈ π¦
Each year, Snowbird has a Pre-Season Passholder Appreciation Day event to help kick off the season. We have attended the event for the past few years so we were excited to attend this one as well. At the event, pass holders were given a free t-shirt along with free coffee/hot cocoa. We briefly met up with some of our friends to talk about how excited we all were for the upcoming ski season. We also saw the old, red Snowbird tram that is being converted to an outdoor aspect of the lower Tram Club bar. It's exciting to see that piece of Snowbird history being repurposed.
Keith took care of a nagging foot issue π¦Άπ©Ή
We will spare you the details, but Keith finally decided to take care of a long-standing ingrown toenail issue that he has been dealing with for years. Keith visited Summit Foot and Ankle in Provo, UT to have the ingrown toenails taken care of once and for all. Keith will have to limit his activity for the next week or so but the recovery should go smoothly and quickly.
While Keith was at the doctor's office, he also asked them to take a look at the small lump on his ankle that occurred during our Camino De Santiago, Portuguese Route trip. The doctor took x-rays of his foot and ankle to find out what was going on. Thankfully, the lump is a superficial result of stress on his ankle. The doctor said that the lump is a ganglion cyst; a noncancerous, fluid-filled lump. The lump should go down by itself over time. If it doesn't, the doctor can manually drain it. π
Preparing for NYC! π½ π«
Keith has to travel to New York City next week for the in-person sessions of his management training program. Thanks to Lindsey's flexible working schedule, she can come along on the trip as well.
Keith will be in meetings during the day so Lindsey will get to explore the city on her own. We will then meet up after work to explore the city together. It's been several years since Keith has been in NYC and his company recently returned to their headquarters at the World Trade Center building. We are both excited to see the NYC skyline from the 82nd floor of the World Trade Center! π€©
